STUDY OF RELATIVE VALUES OF DENTAL SERVICES

Abstract

|
|
The author questionnaired 383 dentists about the complexity and relative fee of 67 kinds of dental services. The complexity of dental service was determined by knowledge, skill, effort and responsibility, and graded from 0 to 9. The relative fee was graded from 1 to 100.
The relative value system of dental services was developed using the median of the relative fee. Author compared the developed relative value system with the relative value system of complexity time and current. dental insurance fee system, and discussed.
The obtained results were as follows:
1. It is recommended that measuring method for complexity of dental service has to be developed.
2. It seemed that current dental insurance fee system should be adjusted according to the relative value system of dental services.
